A question about bail bonds?
Okay I know now how dumb I am for co signing for a bond. I used a bail bondsman that a close family member knew and didnt check him out. Anyway, my question is I am not listed as a co signer through the court and the guy I signed for ran but the bail bondsman will not spend any money to find this guy I've given him all the information I know and I know he would be easy to find but I do not have the resources. This bail bondsman has basically told me " thats what I have a cosigner for" hinting to the fact he will sue me. He told me my information isnt any good because I havent given him phone numbers. This has been a nightmare. The first court date was granted a continuance. Any advice would be helpful. If you need more information ask in your answer please.
Can bail bonds be more than %10?
My boyfriend has a bond of $1000 out which would make it $100 through a bail bondsman . In the state of Florida, can it be more expensive since he was on probabation when arrested?
How bail bonds works?
My husband is in jail and he has a bail for $10.000 cash only ok. We are waiting for them to make it bail bond or make it lower so if they make it bondable I understand that we need to pay like 10 % de total of the bail but what else do we need, someone told me that besides paying the 10% we need to have someone like with a property or a house for warranty is that true or we just need to pay the 10% and contact a bail bondsman?
How long after getting out of jail, do you have to go to the bail bonds place?

i bailed out w $2,500 went to court with a lawyer that costed $5,000 now i got my probation reinstated so now im wonderin dont i get my $ back from the bail bonds i paid him in full and went to court? best answer will give 10PTSoviously my bond was 25,000 but i didnt have topay that much i had 2 pay 2,500...i didnt ask for my percentage i ask since i PAID for my bond n went to my court date do i get my $ back?????

What can a bail-bonds man do?
Okay so here's a little info and then I will get to my question.My 28yr old brother, stupidly jumped a $2,800 bond and left state. At the time of the bailout $280 was posted and my mom had to sign papers with no collateral, my brother had to sign papers as well. So now the Bail bonds man is saying that my mom signed over collateral and he can take everything she owns in order to get back the money that is owed. We asked him to fax us the papers that he was stating my mom signed, but he will not. He had friends calling and harassing us pretending to be Fugitive Task Force, but they refused to state they're names. They wouldn't even give us last names. They said " we can do whatever we want to you" and they can keep taking my moms things for 7 years. But my mom never signed over collateral. They keep changing the amount of money owed, first it was 8,000 and now its 3,000. They aren't doing anything but harassing my mom, if they wanted my brother they know where he is, because he was arrested after the fact of jumping bail...and nothing happened. He was released. They also claimed that he had federal warrants out in NV that is where he is But when we checked into that, he did not. Now...My brother has a facebook. We found out the other day that the bails bond men had made a facebook under my brothers name, added our friends and family to the facebook, and stated on the facebook in exact words " moocher, bail absconder and wanted fugitive" . Can the bail bonds men do this? They call us up to six times a day making threats but never pursing them. I feel as though some kind of dirty work is being done here. When we said we were going to contact the prosecuting attorney to get legal advice who is a family friend he said " they don't know the law" and when we said we have a judge who is also a family friend, he again said " they don't know the laws either" . Can they do whatever they want to us?...We know that no such collateral was put up, but can they just harass my mom like this? isn't there some kind of limit? what should be done?Is what this guy doing legal? any and all help would be great if you don't have any nice advice please, give none.
