Going to court after you are arrest and how do bail bonds work?
A friend of mine told me he was arrested for Public Intoxication and that he had to spend 12 hours in jail until he was bailed out. He told me that he has to go to court on June 17th. He might have had a traffic ticket, but he has never been arrested before. What is the purpose of the court hearing. Will he be on probation or have to go to drug meetings? When somebody bails somebody out of jail is it true that at some point they will get their money back and who exactly gives it back?

How do bail bonds work, and what to do if i have no money?
my boyfriend got arrested last night and his bail is $12,500. the jail told me i had to pay $1,250 in order to get him out. the issue is, i currently do not have that money. i have a 2yr old daughter who is so upset without her dad and i work, and cannot call off anymore. so my question is. is there some sort of bail bondsman who can loan me money upfront to help get him out? or what are my other options? i have never had to deal with this before, so im kind of lost thanks in advance
How do bail bonds work?
So say, hypothetically, someone gets arrested for a small crime perhaps stealing or something of that sort. So if they can't afford the bail, do you call a bail bondsman and they loan you the money? i've always been confused by how this works. And then when someone is a bail jumper, does that mean that they never paid the bailbondsman and ran away, like a fugitive? and if so, are they wanted by the police and would they go to jail?
How does bail/bonds work?
I always thoguht that if bail was $5000, you had the option of paying $5000 cash to the court itself, and then you would get the whole $5000 back at the end of the trial. Or you could pay $500 to a bail bondsman, and he'd front the $5000 to the court and your $500 would be lost no matter what. Is that really it or am I confuzzled? Why would bail ever be $5500? Does the bail bondsman ask for additional cash or security? Are there ways to get all your money back? assuming you have it to give . If you only have non liquid assets like your house or IRAs, do you need to work with a bail bondsman or can you deal with the court directly?
How does Bails Bonds work?
My boyfriends bail is $10,000.00, 10% which makes it $1,000.00. I dont understand how a bailsman works, and is there a difference if its just a cash bonds, than a cash surity bond?

How do Bail Bonds work?
My friend is in jail for being an idiot, he was able to call me from the jail and gave me a number for the A and L bonding agency. I gave them a call and the woman said that she wasn't interested and hung up. I called the next day to ask why, or how else i could go about this and she just hung up. I was wondering if i could do his bond with someone else or if they were set for him?
